111207 Girls Generation Dreams of 'World Tour'

On the episode of KBS 2TV's "Yu Hui-yeol's Sketchbook" that aired on Dec.2, the girl group Girls Generation exposed their wish for a "world tour," drawing attention from the viewers. On the episode, they talked about their future dream, saying, "We are now in the process of an Asian tour. We have a greater dream to have a world tour next year."

MC Yu Hui-yeol said, "I think the dream will certainly be realized. I want to see Girls Generation to look the same even if they reach their 30s and 40s." He went on, "In the future, shows such as '1020' (meaning the time of the 2010s, 2020s) may appear. Then I will assume the role like that of Bae Chul-soo, a MC in the music program '7080 concert.' I wish for Girls Generation to remain in our heart as an everlasting Girls Generation." His remarks produced great laughter on the studio set.

Yu asked Taeyeon, a member of the girl group, 'Don't you sometimes feel pressure as your group is gaining popularity all over the world and has become a topic of conversation?"
Taeyeon replied, "We give thanks to people who welcome us wherever we go, but we have some stress when we go to the airport."

About the so-called "fan training video image" in which Jessica, also a member, pointed at her fans with her finger, Jessica explained, "At the airport, many fans usually approach me to take photos. Seeing the casual acquaintances whom I used to see often at the airport, I saluted them in delight pointing at them with my finger."

Meanwhile, on the episode, Girls Generation sang three songs including "The boys," "Mr. Taxi," and "First snowfall" for an encore and received a round of applause from the audience.
